1128 Broadway, Bushwick · Open daily 8 AM – 5 PM
Brooklyn cafes and parking rarely coexist. Williamsburg parking is a fantasy; Park Slope requires a garage; downtown Brooklyn is $25/hour. Bushwick is one of the few Brooklyn neighborhoods where free street parking near a specialty cafe is genuinely realistic. Café Mia at 1128 Broadway has free street parking on Broadway itself and on the surrounding residential blocks. Most visits, you'll find a spot within a 2-block walk.
Broadway itself (in front of the cafe): metered during business hours in some segments, free elsewhere. Halsey Street and Hancock Street (the blocks on either side of us): free residential parking. If those are full, try Somers Street, Bushwick Avenue, or the streets between Broadway and Bushwick Avenue. There's almost always a spot within a 5-minute walk.
Bushwick residential blocks have alt-side rules Monday through Friday. If you're coming during a Monday morning window, know that the block-face without cars will be the cleaning side. Check the signs before you park. Weekend parking has no cleaning restrictions.
Weekday mornings before 9 AM: excellent. Weekday afternoons: good. Saturday mornings before 10: still good. Weekend brunch peak (11 AM–2 PM): tighter but usually findable within a 3-block walk. Sunday afternoons: easy. Late evenings (after 8 PM): easy.

Fresh-squeezed lemonade meets whisked Uji matcha. Summer bestseller.
Saturday and Sunday 11 AM–2 PM (peak brunch). Weekday alternate-side windows (typically 8:30–10 AM or 11 AM–12:30 PM depending on the block). Nights when there's a local event or the Stashmaster Loyalist Social Club has a private gathering.
If you drove and can't find parking within 5 minutes, we'd suggest: 1) park closer to Bushwick Avenue (usually easier), 2) use the J/M/Z at Kosciuszko Street (2-min walk from cafe, plenty of street parking near the station), or 3) leave the car and come back another time. For rideshare, we're 15–25 minutes from Manhattan depending on which bridge is fastest.
Café Mia's free street parking vs. other Brooklyn cafe parking costs: Williamsburg garage: $20–$30 for 2 hours. Park Slope street parking: metered and hard to find. Downtown Brooklyn garage: $25/hour. Bushwick street parking near Café Mia: $0. That's part of why locals come here for a leisurely visit.

Broadway directly in front of the cafe (metered/free depending on segment), or the residential blocks on Halsey and Hancock immediately east and west. If those are full, try Bushwick Avenue one block over.
No pay garages within the immediate blocks. There are a couple further into central Brooklyn, but street parking is free and usually available, so garages aren't really needed here.
